Branding Tip: Company E-Mail Signatures

Here is an important marketing tip that will cost your company absolutely nothing but a few minutes of time: implement a standardized company e-mail signature, and require all employees to comply.

A standard e-mail signature not only brings a level of professionalism to your correspondence but also provides key contact information for the company and employee. And, embedding your company logo and website URL into the address visually promotes your brand and creates an impression – like an advertisement – with each e-mail delivered.

Signatures can be easily set-up in Microsoft Outlook so that they automatically appear with each new e-mail and response. Please note that a separate signature must be implemented for both a new e-mail message and a reply message. Replies should be condensed. Here are sample set-up formats you can use as guidelines:
